You know when you go to a concert with mediocre expectations and it's anything but? That's exactly what happened for this show - Air Supply was easily my sleeper concert of the year. WHAT A SHOW!
This sold out event was just great all over. From the band, to the performers, to the crowd, the whole show was top to bottom first class.

Air Supply pretty well covered every single known song (to radio) they had including their signature big hits.

If you ever get a chance to see them (BTW this would be a great show to bring up to our area) DO IT!. Their backing band was very young and got really involved in the performance too. The fact that they were so young invigorated all the songs because their enthusiasm was hard to contain. Couple that with the fact that Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock (essentially Air Supply) were so great at involving the audience in their show. They even jumped out INTO the audience and walked up and down the whole venue, invited people to the edge of the stage, and probably had the best audience interaction I've seen in a LONG time.
Now for my rating of the show....
The Band
Totally awesome! The band was extremely enthusiastic, very capable, and were 100% involved in the show. There are so many shows I've seen where the band is reduced to just being in the background - not this one! The band were brought up front and centre at the show. Hitchcock and Russell complimented and gave them props throughout the whole show.
And speaking of Hitchcock and Russell - they were outstanding. They told stories, sang the songs to perfection, and really looked like they wanted to be there.
The Crowd
Totally awesome again! The crowd was right into the show and because they were doted on by the band and invited up to the stage it made it that much more special for them. What a memorable experience for all that attended the show.
If you ever get a chance to see Air Supply - do it! You will be pleasantly surprised, as I was, how good they still are.
Audience Interaction & Engagement: A+
Quality and Diversity of Music: A+
Stage Presence of Band A+
Energy from the Crowd: A+
Overall Rating for Show A+
