I got a last minute opportunity to see an absolute living legend of rock and roll, John Fogerty, in Las Vegas while I was down for a break. The best part is that while tickets on the website were well over $150.00 each a quick check at www.vegas.com revealed that we could get a ticket to the show WITH an included dinner for only $65.00 USD each. A no brainer! We snapped up tickets quickly and were happy to have the opportunity to see this outstanding performer. The dinner was just a simple "pub" one at a pub in the Venetian but it was good enough and well worth the $130 per ticket savings.
My little tip for you? If you ever go to Vegas make sure you check around at half price tickets or www.vegas.com before you go to a show as often you will find GREAT deals. Almost any theater in Vegas has great sightlines therefore I wouldn't put too much emphasis on sitting close to the stage unless you are wanting to sit in front row.

The Venetian Theater's sightlines are all good so it didn't matter where we sat however I didn't bother to bring my binoculars and paid dearly for it as Fogerty had legendary rock drummer Kenny Aronoff in his band and I kicked myself for not doing so.

The Band
Outstanding! It was nice to see Fogerty's son on guitar and super drummer Aronoff on drums. The whole band was great and really got into the performance.
The Crowd:
This was definitely an older crowd and it showed - most of the crowd was pretty reserved and only occasionally had over the top moments (ie. Fortunate Son) however the crowd was very well behaved and was there for the same reason I was - the music and learn to about the lineage.
Audience Interaction & Engagement: A+
Quality and Diversity of Music: A+
Stage Presence of Band A+
Energy from the Crowd: C+
Notable Exceptions: None. Played every single big hit you can think of.
Overall Rating for Show: A+
